You'll have a firm per-pickup number before we start, and an invoice at the end of the month. No setup fees, no quarterly hikes, no three-year contracts.

Yes. Under the Environmental Protection Act 1990, any waste that leaves a commercial premises must be transported by a licensed waste carrier and recorded on a Waste Transfer Note. Household bin use for trade waste is a civil offence and Environment Agency inspections can issue fines. If you're running a business from commercial premises (or from home with meaningful volume), you need a contract. That's us, or a national carrier.

No. Council household bin collections are specifically for household waste. Using them for trade waste breaches the Environmental Protection Act and most council bin policies. If you've been doing it without issue, you've been lucky. It's the kind of thing that surfaces on an inspection, a neighbour complaint, or when the council trials a new tag-check round.

Yes. Guest rooms generate trade waste, even at low volume. If you let rooms to paying guests (including short lets and Airbnbs above the occasional-let threshold), the waste is commercial and needs a compliant collection. We handle plenty of York B&Bs and small guest houses on low-volume weekly or fortnightly schedules.

Both. One-off clear-outs for end-of-lease, fit-outs, refurbs, or when the yard suddenly overflows. Scheduled weekly or fortnightly for steady trade waste. Often customers start with a one-off and move to a schedule once they see the pattern. No commitment to move between them.

On every collection, as standard. Each note records what left, where it went, when, and under whose licence. Kept on file for the two years required under Section 34 of the Environmental Protection Act. An Environment Agency audit or local council spot-check becomes a paperwork exercise rather than a panic.

Regularly. Retail units, offices, restaurants, pubs between tenancies. We clear shop-fit fixtures, kitchen rip-outs, signage, partitioning, office furniture and general waste in one or two visits. Quoted as a one-off. Good pairing with our construction waste service if the fit-out involves building work.

Yes. No minimum term, no cancellation fee. Pause for the summer if you're a seasonal trade, ramp up in December, cancel outright if you close the business. All we ask is a week's notice on a schedule change so we can rework the route.

Asbestos (even suspected), clinical waste, chemicals, fuel or oil. Those need a specialist hazardous-waste carrier. If your trade generates any of it (salons, auto workshops, medical practices), we'll handle everything else and point you at the right permit route for the specialist items.
