Mukin House & Waste Removals ("we", "us") takes your privacy seriously. This page sets out, in plain English, what personal information we collect when you get in touch or book a clearance, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
Who we are
Mukin House & Waste Removals is the trading name of Lydia Mainprize, who is the data controller for any personal information collected through this site. We are a York-based house clearance and waste removal business, operating under an Upper Tier Waste Carriers Licence. You can reach us on 07857 386029 or by email at mukin.house.waste@gmail.com.
What we collect
We only collect information you give us directly. That typically means:
- Your name
- Your phone number or email address
- The address the job's at (so we can quote and turn up)
- Photos or a description of what needs clearing, if you send them
We don't run tracking pixels for advertising, we don't sell any data, and we don't share it with anyone who doesn't need it to get the job done.
How we use it
We use your details to: quote the job, schedule the pickup, turn up at the right address, invoice you, and follow up if we have any questions afterwards. That's it.
How long we keep it
We hold booking details and invoices for the period required by UK tax and waste-carrier record-keeping rules (typically six years). WhatsApp and email threads are retained while the conversation is active and deleted when it's no longer needed.
Who we share it with
We may share limited information with:
- Our accountant and HMRC, for tax and VAT purposes
- Licensed waste-handling facilities where needed for Waste Transfer Notes
- Payment providers if you pay by card (they handle your card details directly)
We don't share your data with advertisers or unrelated third parties.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to the record-keeping obligations above). Email mukin.house.waste@gmail.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if the way we handle your data changes materially. The date at the top shows when it was last reviewed.
